WEME Case | Jiaoke Songjiang Science and Technology Park Landscape: Integration of Technology, Nature and Poetry

This project is in Songjiang District, Shanghai, adjacent to Sizhuan Highway in the west and Chenjing Road in the north, with convenient transportation. We understand that the landscape design of Sci-Tech Park is a systematic project, which is not only related to the aesthetics and functionality of the park, but also involves the sustainable development of the environment and the user's sense of experience. When designing the landscape of the Science Park, the primary consideration is how to rationally plan the coordination and human flow to ensure that the flow of both is clear, efficient, and safe. In addition, the combination of technology and nature is also an indispensable part of the design, which can not only show the modernity of the Science Park, but also provide users with a kind of serenity and poetry during nature.

1. Integration of coordination and human flow

The effective combination of logistics and human flow requires us to plan the traffic flow inside the park at the beginning of the design. Logistics routes should be as far away as possible from major sidewalks and recreational areas to reduce noise and safety risks. At the same time, sufficient loading and unloading areas and temporary storage space should be provided to ensure efficient logistics operations. For the flow of people, the design should ensure that people can move easily and quickly from one location to another, and at the same time, functional partitions such as rest areas and meeting areas should be set up in the park to provide convenience for users.

2. Combination of technology with nature and poetry

In the combination of science and technology with nature, the landscape design of the Science Park can adopt eco-technological means, such as using intelligent irrigation systems to save water resources and solar streetlights to reduce energy consumption. The selection and layout of green vegetation should also consider local climatic and ecological conditions to achieve limited maintenance and sustainable development.
